Zee Music Company has released Alvida, the first song from the upcoming romantic drama Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, and it’s already tugging at heartstrings. Sung, composed, and written by the ever-soulful Vishal Mishra, the track dives deep into the emotional aftermath of parting, echoing the ache of a thousand unsaid goodbyes. The minimalist, melancholic soundscape pairs beautifully with its poignant lyrics, making Alvida a slow-burning ballad destined to linger long after the final note.
The music video features Vikrant Massey and debutant Shanaya Kapoor, offering a haunting glimpse into their characters’ fragile bond. Massey plays a visually impaired musician, while Kapoor stars as a spirited theater artist—their journey unfolds during a train ride that subtly transforms into something deeper. With its soft lighting, tender glances, and a sense of restrained longing, the video mirrors the song’s emotional core, capturing the moments that pass between words.
Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is written by Mansi Bagla and directed by Santosh Singh, based on Ruskin Bond’s beloved short story The Eyes Have It. Produced by Mansi and Varun Bagla under Mini Films and Zee Studios, the film updates Bond’s classic narrative for a contemporary audience, reimagining the themes of perception and emotional intimacy in the age of fleeting connections. It invites viewers to reflect on how we truly “see” each other—through senses, through silence, and sometimes through music.
Set to release in cinemas on July 11, 2025, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan promises a delicate blend of literary charm and cinematic tenderness. With Alvida setting the tone, the film seems poised to be a quiet yet resonant tale of love, perception, and all that remains unspoken.
