After setting the big screen ablaze this August, Rajinikanth’s mega-action entertainer Coolie is now all set to make its digital debut. Prime Video India shared a new poster announcing the film’s OTT premiere on September 11, and fans couldn’t hit the “Remind Me” button fast enough. The caption teased, "Get ready to vibe with the saga of Deva, Simon, and Dahaa #CoolieOnPrime", and the hype just reignited.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the action-thriller follows Deva, a retired coolie union leader, who stumbles into a brutal crime syndicate while investigating the mysterious death of a close friend. What begins as a personal probe turns into a gritty, high-octane saga of betrayal, brotherhood, and bloodshed. This Lokesh-style slow burn is fused with mass masala punches, and the result? Box office fireworks.
The film’s ensemble is pure power: Rajinikanth leads with effortless swagger, joined by Nagarjuna Akkineni, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, and Sathyaraj, with special appearances by none other than Aamir Khan and Pooja Hegde. Each character — whether on screen for ten minutes or a full arc — delivers the intensity Kanagaraj is known for.
Released theatrically on August 14, 2025, Coolie roared at the box office.
