20th Century Studios has just dropped the first official trailer for Send Help, and let’s just say — this isn’t your average castaway drama. Starring Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien as stranded survivors of a plane crash, the film takes a sharp left turn into dark humor, psychological warfare, and survival suspense.
Directed by horror maestro Sam Raimi, Send Help follows Linda Liddle (McAdams) and Bradley Preston (O’Brien), two work colleagues with a complicated history who become the only survivors after their plane crashes on a remote island. What starts as a tense collaboration to survive soon unravels into a bizarre, mind-bending game of trust, betrayal, and desperate measures.
The cast also includes Edyll Ismail, Dennis Haysbert, Xavier Samuel, Chris Pang, Thaneth Warakulnukroh, and Emma Raimi — rounding out a diverse ensemble that promises to bring both emotional weight and biting satire to the survival genre.
The script comes from writing duo Damian Shannon & Mark Swift, known for their genre-bending screenplays, and the mood is amplified by a haunting score from Danny Elfman. With Raimi at the helm and Elfman behind the music, expect the unsettling to feel oddly stylish — and weirdly funny.
From the trailer’s glimpse, Send Help is less about coconuts and makeshift shelters, and more about who’s really in control when no one is watching. Think Lost meets The Menu, with a hint of The Lighthouse energy — and you’ve got yourself a thriller that promises to mess with your mind just as much as its characters’.
Mark your calendars for January 30, 2026 — survival just got a whole lot stranger.
