Jimmy Shergill, a long-time collaborator of filmmaker Neeraj Pandey, recently spoke about his experience working with the director on Sikandar Ka Muqaddar, a thrilling heist drama set to release on Netflix.
Shergill, who has worked with Neeraj since his debut film, praised the director's unwavering commitment to perfection. "Neeraj is someone who will not settle for anything other than a perfect shot," said Shergill. "He is a stickler for detail, and it’s something that pushes everyone to give their best."
At the trailer launch of the film, Shergill, along with co-stars Tamannaah Bhatia and Avinash Tiwary, shared their excitement about the project. Reflecting on their past collaborations, Jimmy said, "Neeraj is an outstanding director and a good friend. I’m happy that even friends are now offering me work." He also recalled his excitement upon receiving the script for Sikandar Ka Muqaddar, adding, "When the dialogue draft came, I was even more excited. I thought to myself, this is going to be a whole lot of fun."
Shergill, who plays Inspector Jaswinder Singh in the series, highlighted Neeraj's unique filmmaking style, particularly his love for long takes. "I haven’t seen anyone take such long shots. Neeraj is the master of long shots," he said. "If the camera is going from your back, you have to act; if it’s going forward, you have to act too. It’s a lot of hard work, but it’s also a lot of fun."
In addition to Shergill and Bhatia, the film features a strong ensemble cast including Rajeev Mehta, Divya Dutta, Zoya Afroz, Ridhima Pandit, and others. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, Sikandar Ka Muqaddar is set to release on November 29th on Netflix.
