The makers of the much-anticipated action-thriller Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups have unveiled the first look of actor Huma Qureshi, instantly grabbing attention across social media. The film, which stars Yash in the lead role, will see Huma playing a character named Elizabeth, a role that promises depth, intensity, and a strong on-screen presence.
The first-look poster was shared on Instagram by the makers on Sunday. In the striking visual, Huma Qureshi is seen standing in a graveyard-like setting, surrounded by old tombstones and stone figures. Dressed in a black outfit and positioned beside a vintage black car, the Gangs of Wasseypur actor exudes a calm yet serious aura, hinting at a powerful and mysterious character arc in the film.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has been generating buzz for quite some time. Speaking about casting Huma Qureshi, the director revealed that the role of Elizabeth was particularly challenging to cast. According to her, the character required a performer with immense intensity and screen presence. Mohandas added that from the moment Huma appeared on screen, she brought an effortless sophistication that made the character come alive instantly.
Toxic marks Yash’s return to the big screen after the massive success of KGF: Chapter 2. The project is being made simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in multiple Indian languages, aiming for a wide pan-India and global reach.
