The series stars Tamara Lawrance as the determined Jamaican-born detective Millie-Jean Black, making her way back to her roots after being forced out of Scotland Yard.
Get Millie Black follows Detective Millie-Jean Black, who returns to Jamaica to join the local police force in Kingston after her career in London comes to an unexpected end. Teaming up with her partner Curtis (played by Gershwyn Eustache Jnr), Millie begins investigating a series of missing person cases. However, the investigation takes a dark turn when it becomes clear that her current case is connected to an earlier investigation that originally brought Detective Luke Holborn (portrayed by Joe Dempsie) to Kingston.
