Veteran actor and filmmaker Anupam Kher is celebrating another milestone as his directorial venture, ‘Tanvi The Great’, has been officially selected in the Indian Panorama category at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa, 2025. The film stars debutant Shubhangi Dutt as Tanvi, a young girl living with her mother and grandfather (played by Kher). Inspired by the memory of her late father, Tanvi is determined to join the Indian Armed Forces. The story beautifully weaves themes of courage, perseverance, and resilience while shedding light on autism, offering a sensitive and empowering portrayal of a young girl chasing her dreams against all odds.
The ensemble cast includes celebrated actors Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Karan Tacker, Arvind Swami, Nasser, and British actor Iain Glen, adding depth and global appeal to the narrative.
