The bilingual action-drama Dacoit, starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, has officially announced a new theatrical release date: April 10, 2026. The film, simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu, also unveiled its first single, Rubaroo, a romantic track highlighting the emotional core of this high-octane love story.
Directed by Shaneil Deo and produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, with co-production by Suniel Narang and presented by Annapurna Studios, Dacoit: A Love Story blends romance and action. The film also features acclaimed actors Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj, and Atul Kulkarni in pivotal supporting roles.
The release had been postponed multiple times — first from 2025 due to Adivi Sesh’s on-set injury, and then from March 19, 2026, to avoid clashes with Yash’s Toxic and Akshay Kumar’s Dhurandhar 2. The April date aims to give the film a clear runway ahead of other major releases.
The debut song, Rubaroo, features soulful vocals by Faheem Abdullah and Chinmayi Sripada. Composed by Bheems Ceciroleo and penned by Ritesh Rajwada, the music video showcases intimate moments between Sesh and Thakur, from sunsets to scenic rural rides, emphasizing the romantic thread amidst the action-packed plot.
Dacoit tells the story of two ex-lovers who reconnect to pull off daring robberies while navigating personal stakes and complicated emotions. The combination of adrenaline-driven action and tender romance positions the film as a compelling entry in India’s bilingual cinema landscape.
With its April 10 release, Dacoit is already generating buzz for its star cast, melodious first track, and the promise of a stylish, action-infused love story. Fans of Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur are marking their calendars for what could be one of 2026’s most talked-about releases.
