Directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, Apoorva Sagodharargal is a genre-blending masala entertainer that features Kamal Haasan in a dual role as twins Raju and Appu—one an ordinary mechanic, the other a dwarf seeking justice for his father’s murder. The ensemble cast includes veterans like Jaishankar, Nagesh, Gautami, Rupini, Manorama, Srividya, and Nassar. Haasan's portrayal of Appu, in particular, won hearts for its emotional depth and technical brilliance.
