Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, alongside Brihanmumbai Municipal Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, undertook a touching initiative in Mumbai on Monday by planting a sapling in memory of his late parents, Hari Om Bhatia and Aruna Bhatia.
Dressed in a black shirt and green trousers, Akshay Kumar personally planted the first tree, assisted by municipal workers. He shared that Kherwadi holds a special place in his heart as he spent his childhood there with his parents, making it an honor for him to contribute positively to the area.
This meaningful effort is a collaboration between the Brihanmumbai Municipal Tree Authority and the Make Earth Green Again (MEGA) Foundation, aiming to plant 200 Bahawa trees along the Western Expressway in Kherwadi (Bandra).
