This movie, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, somehow manages to turn a simple tale of marital mischief into a convoluted mess that feels more like a fever dream than a coherent film.
 
Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) and Vidya (Triptii Dimri) decide to film a sex tape to spice up their marriage. Sounds spicy, right? But then their house gets robbed, and the tape goes missing! Cue the chaos! Also, there’s a sword? And a love story involving a househelp? It’s like the writers threw darts at a board of plot points and just went with whatever stuck.
 
The first 15 minutes are actually decent—like finding a dime in the couch cushions. Rao’s comedic timing shines, and there’s a glimmer of hope. But like a soufflé left in the oven too long, it collapses rapidly after that.
 
As the movie trudges on, you’ll encounter more subplots than characters. Seriously, I think I saw a subplot about a pet goldfish falling in love with a cactus. The sheer number of random tangents makes you question if the filmmakers had a checklist of “How to Confuse Your Audience.”
 
And then there’s the ghost from Stree. Why? I’m still scratching my head. It’s like the filmmakers thought, “Let’s throw a ghost in there because why not?” This supernatural cameo feels like a misplaced meme at a funeral—awkward and out of place.
 
The Performances: Rajkummar Rao, bless his heart, is like a talented chef stuck cooking instant noodles. Triptii Dimri is there, too, but honestly, she feels more like a prop than a character. Mallika Sherawat has the emotional depth of a kiddie pool, and the rest of the cast is a smorgasbord of wasted potential. It’s like watching a bunch of talented actors trying to escape a sinking ship—only to realize they’re all tethered together by a giant rubber band of bad writing.
 
Let’s just say it’s there. I guess? It’s like the elevator music of Bollywood—present but utterly forgettable. The songs are the kind of tunes you’d hear in a dentist’s waiting room, making the pain of waiting even worse.
 
“Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video” is like a party where the piñata is filled with disappointment. By the end, you’ll find yourself longing for the sweet release of the credits, wishing you had spent those 149 minutes doing literally anything else—like watching paint dry or counting the number of times the word “plot” was misused.
