The Lincoln Riley era at USC will get underway Saturday when the 14th-ranked Trojans host Rice to open their 2022 college football season.

He'll be joined in his debut by Oklahoma transfer quarterback Caleb Williams, who enters the 2022 season as a Heisman Trophy hopeful.
Williams — a five-star recruit and the No. 2-ranked quarterback in the Class of 2021 — started 11 games for the Sooners last season, throwing for 1,912 yards and 21 touchdowns with just four interceptions. He followed Riley via the transfer portal in the offseason, and now he'll look to lead the Trojans back to relevance.

Rice will travel to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for its season opener looking to bounce back after finishing 4-8 last season.
