How much is Texas Tech's NIL deal worth?
The new Texas Tech NIL collective grants $25,000 per player per year. The deal encompasses Texas Tech's entire football roster: 85 scholarship players and 15 walk-ons. Assuming all 100 players sign onto the deal, it will value at $2.5 million per year.
Cody Campbell told the Avalanche-Journal that players who sign to the deal are expected to perform community service and charitable work around Lubbock.
Campbell said the deal — which he equated to a "base salary" — pays the players in monthly installments, is renewable annually and does not prohibit them from reaching other NIL deals.
"Collectives have done things a number of different ways," Campbell said. "You see some of the Kentucky vs. Louisville Rivalry shirt m paying large amounts to individual players. You see others doing different thin UNC vs. Duke Rivalry Shirts gs. But what we want to do, really, is support the entire program.
"This is kind of a base salary for the guys. They're not going to be restricted from doing any other NIL stuff with anybody else. In fact, we're going to encourage and help them to do that."

Is Texas Tech associated with the Matador Club NIL deal?
No. Texas state law prohibits universities from being directly involved with NIL deals, though it did last year allow athletes to profit from their name, image and likeness from third parties. Because of that, the Matador Club has no official affiliation with Texas Tech.
Campbell said the collective took great pains to ensure its deal with Texas Tech football players was legal, not only in regard to Texas state law, but also the NCAA.
"That's a rule a lot of people are breaking," Campbell told the Avalanche-Journal, "but we're absolutely not going to do it. We're not going to play that game. Now, I'm certain that when every player on our roster gets $25,000, it's going to become known that Texas Tech has a good NIL program that'll be appealing to recruits, but we're not going to make any promises on the front end. We're not going to break any rules."
Campbell added that the collective was a result of significant fund Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds Jerseys raising efforts by an estimated 1,000 donors. He added that there is more money beyond the original $2.5 million investment to the football team, but declined to specify how much money has been raised for the collective.
"It's been amazing how well we've done from a fundraising standpoint," Campbell said. "Really, I don't even know that we've scratched the surface in terms of w WVU vs. Pitt Rivalry Jerseys hat the potential capability of the Texas Tech community is when it comes to something like this. I think we can be competitive with just about anybody on this front.
"We've been able to raise the money we felt like we needed to Alabama vs. Auburn Rivalry Shirts raise to hit our targets. Tech fans have a lot of passion, right? And so pretty much anybody we've gotten to talk to about it Clovis Community College Bulls Jerseys has been willing and able to help. They understand how important it is."
