Selection Sunday is here. With that in mind,
The Sporting News unveils its final Field of 68 for the upcoming NCAA men's basketball tournament, which begins March 15. This year's Final Four is at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans from April 2-4.
There are a few strands to follow. Gonzaga won the West Coast Conference tournament on Tuesday. Arizona, Kansas and Baylor are our other No. 1 seeds. Auburn, Kentucky, Duke and Purdue are our No. 2 seeds. Our last four features Wake Forest, Indiana, Michigan and Texas A&M, and there are several teams Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds Jerseys in the hunt. Who is our Field of 68?
What to watch for on Sunday: There are essentially two at-large bids on the line in the five championship games on Sunday. If Florida vs. Georgia Rivalry Jerseys Richmond upsets Davidson in the final of the Atlantic-10 tournament, both will make the field and a bubble team will get knocked out. Same in the SEC, where Texas A&M is trying to finish off its run in the SEC tournament with a win over Tennessee. Should the Agg UNC vs. Duke Rivalry Gear ies lose, it will likely bump them out of the below field. The Ivy championship winner will go, both finalists in the AAC (Houston, Memphis) are in and both finalists in the Big Ten (Iowa, Purdue) are in.
Teams right on the cutline — Indiana, Michigan, Wake Forest — will be glued to the A-10 and SEC finals today before CBS unveils the final field at 6 pm ET.
UPDATE: Richmond stole a bid by beating Davidson in the A-10 final. Texas A&M lost to Tennessee in the SEC final, which takes the Aggies out of the field while Richmond slides in. Davidson will be an at-large. Yale won the Ivy. The four remaining teams in action — Purdue and Iowa in the Big Ten final and Memphis and Houston in the American final — are all in the field.
UPDATE: Iowa and Houston earned the final two auto-bids.
