Power couple Geeta Basra and Harbhajan Singh are all set to launch their candid new talk show Who’s The Boss, which promises an intimate, never-seen-before glimpse into the personal lives of cricketing legends and their families.
Bringing together some of the biggest names in Indian cricket along with their wives, the show is designed to highlight the women behind the celebrated men—their stories, sacrifices, and strength that often go untold.
Speaking at the launch event, Geeta Basra opened up about the inspiration behind the show.“This idea was conceptualised years ago. People are always curious about what goes on behind closed doors—especially in the homes of these cricketing legends. Being a cricketer’s wife myself, my main goal was to highlight the women behind these successful men. We don’t really know who they are. These women have their own identities—they’re working professionals, independent individuals. But what are their stories? That was the heart of the concept.”
The show goes beyond glamour and success, diving deep into relationships, challenges, and the support systems that hold it all together.“Strength and support in a relationship are essential—but they can't just be talked about, they have to be felt. When Bhajji used to play, I was extremely superstitious—I’d pray, do rituals, because that was all I could do. We can't go out and play the game for them, but we can stand by them. I know the hurdles Bhajji faced, and I faced my own too. Without each other’s support, it would’ve been impossible to pursue our ambitions or face tough times.”
Geeta also shared her amazement at the vulnerability and honesty the guests brought to the show.“We’ve shot with some of the biggest names in the country. What touched me most was how humble and down-to-earth they are. They really opened up and spoke from the heart. We didn’t expect this much raw content—every couple has disagreements, but hearing how they resolve them, that’s what makes this show so real.”
Alongside the show, Geeta has two films set for release, making this an exciting year for her professionally. She will be seen in the film "Mehr' and 'Awasthi VS. Awasthi'
