Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, known for his punchy dialogues and action-packed roles, recently addressed a fan theory that had everyone wondering: Is the Bhaijaan of Bollywood eyeing a career in politics? The buzz started with a dialogue from his latest film Sikandar—“I don’t know about DM or CM, but I will become MP or MLA.” Fans couldn’t resist imagining Salman in a kurta, waving at crowds from a political rally.
But during a film promotion event, Salman put those speculations to rest with his signature wit. “I know there’s a dialogue about being a DM or CM in the movie, but there’s one more dialogue—‘I am not interested.’ Because it’s not my field,” he said, flashing his trademark grin. Yep, turns out Salman’s political aspirations are as real as a flying car in a Bollywood action scene—completely fictional.
He didn’t stop there, adding a dose of humor with, “Listen, if someone doesn’t know about governance and administration, they shouldn’t enter politics. It’s not my job. I don’t think I know my job, which I am doing right now, all that well. I am happy doing what I am doing.”
So, while Salman Khan might be the king of the big screen, when it comes to politics, he’s sticking to his real job—being the superstar who doesn’t need a manifesto to win hearts.
