In an interview discussing the re-release, he said, “Whenever a writer writes, and when a director works on it, it’s like part of his soul, and the same thing happened with us. And the people who have watched the film and kept asking us to release it theatrically—after nine years, we’ve done it, and the response has been great.”
“The best thing is, though the film is available on digital platforms, the audience is still flocking to cinemas to celebrate the film. Fans are dancing, singing, shooting reels... it feels like a celebration of our work, something we wrote a decade ago, and the whole nation is celebrating it” added Sapru.
