Vaani Kapoor is turning up the charm this summer with back-to-back releases — and first up, she’s diving deep into romance. The actress recently shared the newly released song Khudaya Ishq on her social media, writing, “Bringing love back… one note at a time #KhudayaIshq - Out Now on Saregama Music YouTube Channel and all major music streaming platforms #AbirGulaal in cinemas from 9th May.”
The track, a soothing slow-burn romantic ballad, is composed by the ever-magical Amit Trivedi, sung soulfully by Arijit Singh and Shilpa Rao, and penned by lyricist Kumaar. It’s the kind of song that makes you want to fall in love, take a long night drive, or just stare into the distance with headphones on.
Abir Gulaal, directed by Aarti S Bagdi, is shaping up to be the summer’s most heartfelt cinematic experience. The film stars Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor as two emotionally scarred souls who unexpectedly find solace and healing in each other’s company. With a strong supporting cast including Lisa Haydon, Riddhi Dogra, Farida Jalal, Soni Razdan, and Parmeet Sethi, the film is said to blend laughter, longing, and late-night conversations into one unforgettable love story. Produced by Vivek B. Agrawal, Avantika Hari, Rakesh Sippy, and Firuzi Khan, Abir Gulaal hits theatres on 9 May 2025.
But that’s not all Vaani has in store this season. Just a week before her tender tale of love arrives, she’ll be seen in Raid 2, the high-stakes sequel to the hit IRS thriller. Starring opposite Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh, and directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, this one’s got all the intensity and edge-of-your-seat drama audiences love.
