After winning hearts with her debut performance in Mastiii 4, Shreya Sharma is opening up about the character that landed in her lap — one she instantly connected with and knew she had to play. Recalling how it happened, Shreya shares, “When I met Milap Sir, he said, ‘Shreya, you know, you should audition for this character called Aanchal, who actually has a very possessive vibe. If you've seen the film, she's a very possessive wife, and she keeps checking my heart rate all the time.’ So, I said, ‘Sir, this character is amazing, and I want to play this because so many girls will connect with this.’”
The young actress also opened about her inspirations and how she views her place as an outsider in the film industry. She reflects with confidence and clarity: “I think I'm inspired by everybody, especially anybody who comes from the outside. So, like Anushka Sharma, Kriti Sanon. I find their career trajectories amazing. So obviously, each of us creates our own unique career treasury. So, I would never say that I want to be like anyone because I am Shreya Sharma. But yes, many people inspire me, and you should learn good things and be inspired. Because as an actor, you are a student of life… you keep gaining knowledge. You keep doing it. You keep doing it for life.” With her grounded approach and fearless honesty, Shreya is carving out a space that’s uniquely her own — one character, one film, and one heartfelt performance at a time.
Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri. The film is produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, Maruti International and Sri Adhikari Brothers. It is the fourth installment in the Masti film series. The film stars Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani in the lead roles.
It was released theatrically on 21 November 2025.
