The film, directed by Karan Johar, won in the categories of Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Choreography, cementing its place as both a commercial blockbuster and a critical favourite.
Starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, the film blended romance, family drama, humour, and cultural nuance in a vibrant cinematic package. Backed by Viacom18 Studios and Dharma Productions, RRKPK was lauded for its mix of traditional Bollywood flair with modern storytelling. With a global box office haul of $42 million (₹355 crore INR) against a 19 million budget, the film became a cultural talking point in 2023.
The award for Best Choreography was given to Vaibhavi Merchant, whose imaginative and energetic dance sequences added a dynamic layer to the film's narrative.
