In a deeply emotional response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, veteran actor Anupam Kher has voiced his anguish and fury over the brutal killing of innocent tourists. The attack, which occurred on Tuesday, targeted Hindu visitors who had come to the picturesque region with their families. The massacre has shaken the nation, igniting widespread outrage and sorrow.
Taking to his official X account, Kher posted a heartfelt video message in which he condemned the heinous act. Visibly shaken, the actor said, “There is no limit to my anger and rage.” He emphasized the deliberate targeting of victims based on their religion and called the killings a barbaric affront to humanity. His caption—“Wrong... Wrong... Wrong!!! Pahalgam massacre!! Words are impotent today!!”—underscored the raw emotion many across the country are feeling.
Kher also made a passionate appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, urging the government to deliver justice. “Teach these terrorists a lesson that they will not be able to do such a thing for the next seven lives,” he said, highlighting the widespread public demand for swift and decisive action. The Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police have since launched an intensive search operation in the region to track down those responsible.
The Pahalgam tragedy, described as one of the most horrific incidents since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, has led to nationwide protests. From candlelight vigils in Baramulla and Kupwara to solidarity marches in cities across India, the country stands united in grief and condemnation. As investigations continue, citizens are demanding not only justice for the victims but also stronger measures to prevent such acts of terror in the future.
