In a candid conversation, legendary actor Mohanlal reflected on his long-standing collaboration with director Priyadarshan and the potential of working with Akshay Kumar in a future Priyadarshan film. Mohanlal, who has worked with Priyadarshan in over 40-45 films, including some iconic hits, shared his perspective on the differences between his own work with the director and the films that Priyadarshan made later with Akshay Kumar.
When asked about the possibility of seeing Mohanlal and Akshay Kumar work together in a future Priyadarshan film, Mohanlal said, "I have done more than 40-45 films with Priyadarshan, his first film was with me. And the films I did with Priyadarshan were later made in Hindi with Akshay Kumar." He went on to explain that while both actors worked with the same director, the films themselves were vastly different. "You cannot compare actors; the film I did with Priyadarshan and the film Akshay did are totally different. The costume, the acting, and the body language are different."
Mohanlal also took a moment to praise Akshay Kumar's professionalism. "Akshay Kumar is a brilliant actor. He is very punctual, loves his profession, and is a hundred percent professional actor. I am not that professional," Mohanlal humbly admitted. His acknowledgment of Akshay's dedication and work ethic highlighted the mutual respect between the two actors, despite their different styles and approaches to their craft.
