The actress also took the opportunity to announce the new release date of her biographical drama, Emergency. “My film, Emergency, is finally releasing on 17th January, and I would like to request each and every one to watch my film. Thank you,” she said. The film, which is one of her most ambitious projects to date, focuses on a defining chapter of Indian history—the Indian Emergency of 1975, a controversial period in Indian politics when Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister, declared a state of emergency across the country.
