At the trailer launch of Tumko Meri Kasam in Mumbai on Tuesday, Anupam Kher spoke about his experience of working with renowned director Vikram Bhatt for the first time. The film is based on the inspiring life of Dr. Ajay Murdia. Anupam Kher shared how he had always wanted to work with Vikram and how the right project finally came along to make that dream a reality.
Anupam Kher expressed his excitement, stating, "I have always wanted to work with Vikram Bhatt. I was waiting for a great story that would justify my presence in his film. What could be a better story than this? Ajay Ji's story is very inspiring, not only for families but also for anyone who gives life to others."
He also praised Vikram Bhatt for his unique abilities as a director and as a person. "Vikram is one of the finest human beings and directors I have worked with. Such brilliance is created so effortlessly by him. I think I have found both a friend and a director in him. Now, he can’t make a film without me—whether it’s horror or anything else!"
Anupam also humorously shared his ongoing passion for work, despite his vast experience in the industry. "I keep asking for work even today... even after 544 films. I still meet directors and ask for work. Where my office is, that’s where I met Vikram. I told him, ‘Give me work,’ and he brought this film to me."
Tumko Meri Kasam featuring Anupam kher, Ishwak Singh, Adah Sharma, Esha Deol is all set to hit the cinemas on 21 March, 2025.
