After the massive success of Masti, Grand Masti, and Great Grand Masti, the popular adult comedy franchise is all set to return with its fourth installment, Masti 4. Directed by Milap Zaveri, who also penned the scripts for Masti and Grand Masti, this film promises to bring a fresh wave of laughter, fun, and excitement. The muhurat shot for Masti 4 was held in Mumbai on Saturday marking the official beginning of the film's production.
Milap Zaveri, who is thrilled to be back with the team, shared his excitement about the project and his role in directing it. In a candid conversation, he expressed, "I’m very excited that today is the muhurat of Masti 4... It’s the first day, and I’m directing Masti 4 with Riteish, Aftab, and Vivek. Amar Jhunjhunwala, Shikha Ahluwalia, Zee, and Balaji Films are all on board. With everyone’s blessings and support, I’m extremely excited."
Zaveri, who has been an integral part of the Masti franchise, also reflected on the journey so far. He revealed, “I wrote Masti 1 and Grand Masti, and now, Indra Kumar has handed over the direction of the franchise to me. It’s a very happy day for me.”
He made a bold promise to fans, saying, "I promise that Masti 4 will have four times the masti. There will be so much fun, laughter, and chaos in this one!"
Despite the immense popularity of the franchise, Milap doesn’t feel the pressure of living up to the expectations. "There is no pressure at all. We will make the film with fun, jokes, and masti. Since I wrote Masti 1 and Grand Masti, Indra ji trusted me and handed over the franchise to me. It’s a responsibility I’m taking on with joy," he explained.
Talking about working with the lead cast, Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, and Vivek Oberoi, Milap expressed his excitement. "I’ve worked with Riteish in Marjaavan and had a lot of fun. It's going to be amazing working with Riteish, Aftab, and Vivek. It will be a blast!"
Milap further assured that the film would stay true to the essence of the franchise while delivering more than what the audience expects. " Masti 4 will have everything—songs, dhamal, comedy, dance—everything you expect from a Masti film."
