Actor Shahid Kapoor, who will be seen playing a massy role in forthcoming action thriller Deva says the character has an interesting world.
Shahid Kapoor was interacting with the media during Shell Oil event in Mumbai.
We asked Shahid Kapoor about his next release Deva, where he is collaborating with filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews and actress Pooja Hegde for the first time. He said, “Deva is halfway through, the remaining half is being shot, and it’s an interesting world of Deva, and I am very immersed into that world right now. We will be releasing the film this year itself.”
“Pooja Hegde along with many other good actors are working on this film with me, Rosshan Andrrews is a Malayalam director, who has been making good Malayalam films for a very long time, and he is directing Deva, I think he is only one who understand the world of Deva better than anyone. Under-belly of Mumbai, that is world of Deva. There is a lot of action, and it’s also a little bit of massy character, but there is an element of thrill as well in the movie. So, there are lot of elements in the movie” added Shahid.
Apart from action thriller, Shahid Kapoor is also part of historic drama titled Ashwatthama, helmed by Sachin Ravi and backed by Pooja Entertainments.
Talking about the film, Shahid said, “Ashwatthama, it is too early to talk about the film, right now we have just announced the movie, but yes, that is also on the agenda.”
Shahid Kapoor has been shifting genres with each release, and when asked about the same, he added, “It is good to do a lot of variety and different characters, otherwise people will say he keeps doing the same thing. Even, I get bored with the same thing, I am also trying to do something new with each film; intense as well as romantic characters and if I get a good comedy film, I will love to do that as well. I just try to do different things.”
