Brace yourself—KanKhajura is about to burrow into your mind. Sony LIV has unveiled the trailer for its latest psychological thriller, and it's not here to play nice. Starring the ever-intense Mohit Raina and the effortlessly enigmatic Sarah Jane Dias, this slow-burn suspense-fest promises to wrap you in a cocoon of dark secrets, family trauma, and spine-prickling suspense. Think unresolved guilt, repressed memories, and silence that screams louder than words.
At the center of this dark maze are two estranged brothers—played by Raina and Roshan Mathew—whose shared past is as murky as a monsoon drain. Their twisted bond unravels across a narrative that blurs the line between memory and madness. The trailer doesn’t give much away (thankfully), but what it does show is enough to leave you slightly disturbed and very intrigued. One thing’s clear: whatever crawled into their past is back, and it bites.
Based on the acclaimed Israeli series Magpie, KanKhajura reimagines the story with a haunting Indian pulse—layered emotions, raw confrontations, and enough buried trauma to make Freud come back from the dead. Director Chandan Arora injects a moody, almost poetic grit to the visual palette, while Ajay Rai’s production makes sure the atmosphere stays thick enough to choke on. From flickering tube lights to fevered confessions, every detail hums with tension.
Set to premiere on May 30, the cast is stacked with talent: Mahesh Shetty, Ninad Kamat, Trinetra Haldar, Heeba Shah, and Usha Nadkarni join the unsettling party. And if the title KanKhajura (translation: earwig) makes you squirm a little, that’s the point. This isn't just a thriller—it’s an emotional infestation. The question isn’t just "what happened?" but "what will crawl out next?"
