An initiative by the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI), Filmed on iPhone 2025 supports four promising Indian filmmakers—Amrita Bagchi, Rohin Raveendran Nair, Chanakya Vyas, and Shalini Vijayakumar. The program offers comprehensive backing throughout the production process, equipping them with Apple’s latest creative tools including the iPhone 16 Pro Max for filming and the MacBook Pro for post-production editing.
The films in this year’s selection represent a vibrant mix of languages and cultures, including Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi, and Tamil. Each filmmaker works under the mentorship of a renowned industry name, pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling while embracing accessible yet cutting-edge technology. This initiative not only champions new voices but also redefines what’s possible with mobile filmmaking in India.
Scheduled for a premiere screening in April 2025, the final films will also be released on MAMI’s official YouTube platform, giving them a global digital audience.
