Before making her mark in films, Bhumi worked as an assistant casting director at Yash Raj Films for six years. Her big break came with her debut in Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015), where she played an overweight bride, a role that not only won her hearts but also earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
