Actress Rakul Preet Singh, who made her Hindi film debut in 2014 with romantic film ‘Yaariyan’ pens a heartfelt note as she clocks a decade in Bollywood.
Rakul made her debut in South back in 2009, only in 2014; she made her big Hindi debut with Yaariyan, alongside Himansh Kohli. She played Saloni in the Divya Khosla Kumar directorial movie.
Now, on 10 years of the film’s theatrical release, Rakul took to her social media and shared snippets from the movie ‘Yaariyan’. Along with the pictures, she penned a note, which read, “10 years ago, when I had first stepped my foot in Bollywood, I was just a young girl with big dreams. It took me a decade of hardwork, perseverance, consistency to reach where I am today. While there is so much more to achieve, I have a ton of gratitude in my heart for the work that I have done as it still feels like a dream for the younger version of me. I want to extend my love to all of you who helped me achieve my dreams and turn them into a reality…10 years of living this reality and a lifetime to go... #pictureabhibaakihaimeredost Love and gratitude always”
On the work front, Rakul was last seen in digital release titled I Love You, next she will be seen in Indian 2, Ayalaan and Meri Patni Ka Remake.
Helmed by Shankar, Indian 2 is a sequel to Indian (1996), the film stars Kamal Haasan who reprises his role as Senapathy, an ageing freedom fighter turned vigilante who fights against corruption.
It also stars an ensemble cast that include Suryah, Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Nedumudi Venu, Vivek, Kalidas Jayaram, Gulshan Grover, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Brahmanandam, Zakir Hussain, Piyush Mishra, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Manobala, Vennela Kishore and Deepa Shankar.
