Palak Muchhal, known for her soulful voice and her devotion to music, recently opened up about her experiences singing two significant songs—Bandhan from Vanvaas and Raja Ram from The Sabarmati Report. The talented singer, whose career spans both playback singing and humanitarian work, shared her thoughts on working with renowned composers and her mission to help others through her art.
Regarding Vanvaas, Palak shared her excitement about collaborating with music director Mithoon, who approached her for the song. "For Vanvaas, I sang for Mithoon Ji. He felt my voice would suit the song, and it was an amazing experience because it was our first release after marriage," she said. The song is featured in Anil Sharma’s film, and Palak highlighted how special it was to work with Mithoon on a project so close to her heart.
Turning to Raja Ram from The Sabarmati Report, Palak spoke fondly about her experience working with Anu Malik. "For Sabarmati, I sang for Anu Malik Ji. It's always wonderful to work with him," Palak explained. "Both these songs are very close to my heart." She also reflected on the emotional connection she shares with devotional music, something that resonates deeply with her. "When I sing devotional songs, I feel at peace," she said. "Expressing emotions that are close to my heart connects me strongly with the music. Bhakti (devotion) has always been close to my heart. Whenever I sing devotional songs, I personally feel at peace, and I hope others feel the same joy in listening."
In addition to her musical journey, Palak opened up about her philanthropic work. She shared that her desire to help others is an intrinsic part of her being, something she has always felt driven to do. "Everyone has this emotion within them to be of help to others—it's a natural tendency in humans. This is the strength we all carry inside us, but sometimes we get distracted," she said. "I feel lucky that my priority has always been to help others. Feeling others’ pain and having the strength to heal them is a gift I received from God, which is why I put my talent into it." Through her concerts, Palak has facilitated over 3,198 surgeries for children in need, a cause she is deeply passionate about.
