Prime Video has just dropped the full official trailer for Steal, a gripping UK thriller series that promises high-stakes action, tense drama, and a heist with massive consequences. Produced by Amazon MGM Studios in collaboration with Drama Republic, the series is set to stream on Prime Video starting January 21, 2026, making it one of the first must-watch thrillers of the new year.
Steal follows Zara (Sophie Turner), an ordinary office worker at a London pension fund company, Lochmill Capital, whose regular day takes a dramatic turn when a gang of violent thieves storms in. Forced into executing their demands alongside her best friend Luke (Archie Madekwe), Zara becomes entangled in a plot to steal billions of pounds of ordinary people’s pensions. The series cleverly explores how an ordinary person reacts when thrust into extraordinary circumstances, balancing tension, moral dilemmas, and personal stakes.
Overseeing the investigation is DCI Rhys (Jacob Fortune-Lloyd), a detective with his own troubled past as a recently relapsed gambling addict. Rhys must navigate not only the complex criminal conspiracy but also his personal struggles, adding layers of nuance and vulnerability to the series.
Created by Sotiris Nikias (aka S.A. Nikias), known for Cafe 404, with writing contributions from Poppy Cogan and Shyam Popat, Steal combines fast-paced storytelling with character-driven drama.
