The Indian film fraternity came together in heartfelt unity as the Deol family hosted a prayer meet titled “Celebration of Life” at Taj Lands End, Bandra, in memory of the legendary Dharmendra. A towering figure in Indian cinema for more than six decades, Dharmendra’s charm, versatility, and unforgettable screen presence made him a beloved icon whose influence remains etched across generations. The gathering reflected not only his stardom but also the profound impact he had on colleagues, fans, and the industry at large.

Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, visibly emotional as they welcomed attendees with folded hands, embodied a family grieving yet deeply grateful. Alongside Abhay Deol, Karan Deol, and Aryaman Deol, they stood united in honouring the patriarch who shaped their lives and careers. A musical tribute added poignancy to the evening, celebrating Dharmendra’s vast contribution to Hindi cinema—one melody at a time.

The prayer meet witnessed an extraordinary turnout of industry stalwarts, highlighting the respect Dharmendra commanded. Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit with her husband, Karan Johar, Rekha, Akshay Kumar, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, and numerous others paid their respects. From veterans like Subhash Ghai, Jackie Shroff, and Suniel Shetty to contemporary stars such as Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Nimrat Kaur, the event spanned generations—just as Dharmendra’s legacy does. Producers, musicians, directors, and actors alike gathered to honour a man who had profoundly touched the cinematic world.

Dharmendra passed away on November 24, 2025, after a period of ill health, and his final rites were performed at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle. His loss marks the end of an era, but his contributions continue to resonate. Known as Bollywood’s “He-Man,” he appeared in over 300 films and delivered iconic performances across romance, action, drama, and comedy—never allowing himself to be confined to a single mold. This versatility made him one of Indian cinema’s most commercially successful and universally adored stars.

As tributes poured in and memories were shared, one truth stood clear: Dharmendra’s journey remains a testament to passion, hard work, and timeless appeal. His onscreen magic, gentle warmth, and infectious charm ensure that he lives on—not only through his films but in the hearts of millions who cherished him. The “Celebration of Life” was more than a farewell; it was a salute to an artist whose legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
