B Praak, one of the most renowned voices in the Indian music industry, released his highly anticipated devotional track Mahakaal on Monday, in collaboration with lyricist Jaani and Kripa Records. In a heartfelt conversation, B Praak shared insights into the creation of the song, the hard work involved, and his vision for the future.
Speaking about the long journey of creating Mahakaal, B Praak revealed that the entire team worked tirelessly for around four to five months to bring the track to life. “It took us two months to edit the song and about three to four months for VFX. Everything was shot on a greenscreen, and the VFX process took a significant amount of time,” he said. He also mentioned that they had initially planned to release the song before the Mahakumbh but due to unforeseen circumstances, the release happened just a few days before Maha Shivaratri. “There are only 10 days left before Shivratri. By the grace of Lord Shiva, we are able to share the video with everyone today. Our team has put in immense effort,” he expressed gratefully.
He further emphasized the deep connection that the song has to Lord Shiva’s blessings. “You may have attended the Bhasm Aarti of Mahakaal. If not, do experience it once – the way you feel there is exactly how you should feel while listening to this song,” he shared. Praak described the night of the song’s creation as magical, believing that Lord Shiva was present with them, guiding them to create the song in the best way possible. "Without his grace, this song would not have been possible," he added.
B Praak, along with Jaani, has always aimed to showcase devotion in a way that has never been done before. “Our goal is to portray devotion in a way that it has never been seen before. We hope this will inspire other companies to take courage and show devotion in a grander way. We have tried to create something extraordinary with Mahakaal; this is the most expensive devotional video ever made,” he said proudly.
Looking ahead, he shared his dream for Kripa Records. “My dream is to make this company the world’s biggest devotional music company. I envision it with pure intentions—if you dream pure dreams within Lord Shiva’s blessings, they will come true,” he stated with unwavering belief.
B Praak also reflected on his immense love for his country, noting, “I have sung the most songs for my country. I consider myself India’s brand ambassador, and I feel blessed to be chosen to sing for my nation.”
With a career marked by both patriotic and devotional songs, B Praak confidently stated, "Wherever patriotic or devotional songs are discussed, my name will now be part of the conversation. My name will be synonymous with devotional songs from now on.”
In the future, B Praak hopes his name will be widely recognized not just for his soulful voice, but for the devotion and patriotism that he brings into his music. His vision for Kripa Records and his dedication to creating impactful, soul-stirring music is setting the stage for a legacy of musical greatness.
