Aamir Khan's son, Junaid, is steadily carving his own path in the entertainment industry, making a name for himself with his distinctive choices in theatre and films.
In a heartfelt interview, Aamir Khan spoke about his son Junaid's burgeoning career in theatre and film, sharing his joy and admiration for the path Junaid is choosing.
Reflecting on his son’s theatre work, Aamir revealed,“I’ve been watching his plays from the very beginning. They are really enjoyable and full of entertaining comedy. He’s doing a great job in theatre. It brings me a lot of happiness to see Junaid enjoying his work. He’s exploring different kinds of roles and stepping out of his comfort zone. I’m glad to see him so versatile. He’s doing really well.”
Aamir also spoke about Junaid’s debut film Maharaj and his upcoming film Loveyapa. He said, “His first film came out on Netflix—it was a drama. The second film, Loveyapa, is a completely different genre; it's an entertaining comedy. The characters are distinct, and I’m glad to see Junaid creating his own path. What makes me happy is that he’s working with his heart and mind in sync, choosing projects that resonate with him. I loved the song from the film.”
Reflecting on Laapata Ladies’ journey in the Oscar race, Aamir expressed pride in the film's efforts but acknowledged the tough competition. He shared," We gave it our best shot. The film was loved by the members, but remember, there are around 80 films from various countries competing in the Oscars every year. Every country sends its best film, and when you’re competing in this category, you’re up against the world’s best. To make it to the top 5 is difficult—films like Lagaan and Mother India were able to reach the top 5. But, I believe, it will happen one day.”
