Quiver Distribution has unveiled the first trailer for Inside, a gritty and emotionally charged prison drama from Oscar-winning short filmmaker Charles Williams. Slated for release on June 20, 2025, the film dives deep into the brutal reality of incarceration, but what sets it apart is the twisted tenderness that begins to bloom in the darkest of places.
The story follows Mel Blight (Vincent Miller), a teenage inmate abruptly thrust from a juvenile facility into the unforgiving world of adult prison. There, he’s taken under the wing of two very different mentors: Mark Shepard (Cosmo Jarvis), a notorious criminal loathed across Australia, and Warren Murfett (Guy Pearce), a hardened inmate on the cusp of parole. Together, they form a reluctant and volatile triangle — part father figures, part fractured reflections of who Mel might become.
As their bonds grow more complex, so too do the cracks in their emotional armor. Inside doesn’t just explore prison hierarchy or brutality — it peels back the layers of masculinity, guilt, and buried humanity in men who’ve long been written off. As the trailer teases, “even the worst of men have a little bit of good inside — and that just might be what destroys them.”
With a cast as intense as the subject matter and a director known for navigating moral gray zones, Inside promises a powerful cinematic experience. Come June 20th, audiences can expect a slow-burn story of survival, surrogate fatherhood, and the price of holding onto a sliver of decency in a place that punishes it.
