Jannat Zubair Rahmani is all set to return to acting with the upcoming series Glory, and she isn’t holding back her excitement. The actor, who plays Gudiya in the intense sports-crime drama, revealed during the trailer launch that the project marks a long-awaited comeback to her first love—acting.
Jannat addressed the perception that she is primarily a social media personality today, clarifying that her journey actually began in the world of acting. Speaking candidly about her return, she said: “Honestly, this also marks my acting comeback after many, many years. And whenever I’ve spoken with you all, everyone has asked me about my next project—asking if I miss acting. Many people aren't even aware that I actually started my career with acting; they assume I only do social media work, even though I’ve actually been in the industry for 18 years now. I started at a very young age, and I always used to tell you all that I was waiting for that "perfect project"—and that until I found it, I had no problem with waiting.”
She further described Glory as the defining project she had been waiting for, expressing gratitude toward the team and confidence in the final outcome: “So, for me, Glory is that very project I’ve been waiting years for. And I think—the way it turned out—it was absolutely worth it. I am incredibly proud of this project, and of the entire team—such a passionate, supportive, and hardworking group of people. Thank you to each and every one of you; everyone made this journey so special and so smooth for me. Thank you, Karan Sir. Thank you, Kanishk. Thank you, Pulkit, Divyenndu—everyone! We have all put in a tremendous amount of hard work over the past year and a half or so. As for myself, I tried my absolute best to stay true to the character of "Gudiya" and gave it my 100%. The rest—once the show airs—is for you, the audience, to decide. But we are all very positive that you are going to absolutely love our Glory”
Created by Karan Anshuman, Glory is a gritty sports-crime thriller set in the boxing world of Haryana. The story revolves around the mysterious death of a champion boxer, pulling two brothers back into their hometown as they investigate the truth—only to confront deep family tensions and a strict, legendary coach father.
The series features a strong ensemble cast including Divyenndu, Pulkit Samrat, Suvinder Vicky, and Ashutosh Rana. Set to premiere on May 1, 2026, the show blends sports, crime, and emotional drama into a high-stakes narrative.
With her return in Glory, Jannat Zubair is clearly aiming to re-establish herself in the acting space, and she hopes audiences will embrace her performance as Gudiya when the series finally streams.
