Producer Ila Bedi Datta’s upcoming show for Zee TV, Lajwanti has now brought on board the veteran actress Amardeep Jha. 

Amardeep, who was last seen playing the role of a grandmother in Sony TV’s Itti Si Khushi, has been roped in to play ‘dadi’ to the male lead, essayed by Sid Makkar for the show. 

As per a reliable source, “Jha’s character will be a typical sympathy gainer; she will want to do anything and everything to put down her daughters-in-law. She will have a negative role to play.”

 Amardeep confirmed her entry. 

Amardeep is noted for her powerful portrayals in movies and TV. On television, her best of work has been in shows Bidaai, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Amrit Manthan. 

Actors Manik Bedi, Neelam Panchal will be a part of the show. Newbie Ankita Sharma will play the female protagonist.
