The buzz doing the rounds is that Purab Kohli will be playing the lead in Agnidev Chatterjee's film, Tere Aane Se. The movie was planned after the director's Bollylaunchpad, Article 161, was nipped in the bud.
"Purab is the protagonist in my film, which spans 40 years. I am very happy with his approach to the role. He is extremely dedicated," said Agnidev, adding, "My lucky mascot,RituparnaSengupta, is cast opposite him."Purab, however, is yet to sign up for the role. "I've heard the narration and liked the script. But I haven't yet signed on the dotted lines," said the actor.
Tere Aane Se is a simple love story, where a couple meets and falls in love much against the wish of their parents. Then a certain incident changes their lives for ever. The crux of the film is how the lovers survive without each other for 21 years and whether they will ever be able to reunite. The director, who wanted to work with Reena Roy has now replaced her with RatiAgnihotri. "I tried very hard to contact Reena Roy, but couldn't trace her. I've grown up watching RatiAgnihotri's films. I remember seeing Ek Duuje Ke Liye more than a dozen times. It will be a pleasure working with her," said Agnid
Music for the film is scored by PalashMuchhal. The soundtrack features MohitChauhan, JavedAli, Arijit Singh and Palak. "The story and screenplay are by Rahul Bose (cousin of AnuragBasu) and me. The dialogues are penned by MasoodMirza. Gulshan Grover, AtulKulkarni,VikramGokhale, SmitaJaykar, Shahbaz Khan, Yashpal Sharma, MukeshTiwari, MuraliSharma are there in the cast. Parts of the film will be shot in Canada. Shooting commences on September 9," said Agnidev.
