Kichcha Sudeep's wife Priya, who has been working behind the camera till now, is making her small screen debut in the television serial Ashwini Nakshatra, which airs on ETV Kannada.

According to sources, there is a scene in the serial in which Ashwini, the wife of Superstar JK who is fed up with his tantrums meets another superstar and discusses problems and asks him for solutions. The team was looking for an actor of superstar caliber and decided that Sudeep would be perfect for the role. It is also said that JK -- who plays the role of the superstar in the serial and who is also a very good friend of Sudeep -- first contacted the actor and requested him to make a guest appearance on the show. As Sudeep is busy with his directorial venture, the scene was changed to Ashwini meeting the wife of the other superstar, who will be played by Priya in a short appearance.

The scenes for Priya's appearance were shot in Bangalore. The episode will be aired shortly.
