It's the 86th birthday of singer Kishore Kumar today. The singing legend gave innumerable melodies in his career spanning four decades. Even 27 years after his demise, his songs are still fresh in the hearts of music lovers.

DIVYANKA TRIPATHI : "Kishore sahab's singing was ahead of his time. Today Rapping is so in but he was the pioneer behind it in India. Kishore Kumar, being a fine actor too, used to put expressions and feel to his compositions. His songs were soulful, energetic and by listening to them you can visualize the scenario on your own. My favorite numbers are - Dekha na haye re, Ek ladki bheegi bhaagi si, and Tum aa gaye ho. I get inspired as an actor by watching his movies, songs and dances."

MOHAMMAD NAZIM: “Kishore Kumar has always been my favourite. I have kept all his songs in my phone library and listen to them when I am free. The best thing about his songs is that it can be listened in all the seasons. My favourite amongst all is ‘Roop tera mastana’. I like this as this is so chirpy and fun to listen”

ROHIT BHARADWAJ: "Ek ladki bheegi bhagi si' is one among many Kishore Kumar favorite. I think no one else but him could have sung a song with this elegance. There' a reason he is called 'the golden voice' of Bollywood. His songs are still relevant and people of every age likes him."

AMRAPALI GUPTA: "Kishore Kumar never had any formal musical training but in his career he showed proficiency in a variety of musical styles.  Furthermore he was able to pick up the piano and played it well. In his long career, he worked in almost every capacity in the film industry; not only as a a singer and actor but as a screenwriter, producer, director, and script writer. I and my hubby yash mostly play his music and enjoy either in car or in room. His songs make us feel exact romance. We both are found of all his music like Keh Do Tumhe Ya Chup Rahun,  Hume Tumse Pyaar Kitna and many more."

VIVIAN DSENA: "Kishore Kumar is a legend. Apart from his singing, I respect him for his personality too. He was a successful singer, actor, director, producer and a fantastic human being. 'Yeh shaam mastani' is my favorite."

NAMAN SHAW: "Zindagi ki yeehi reet hai’ has beautiful lyrics and its a motivational song. Among my Kishore da favourites are song such as ‘Bheegi bheegi raton mein’ as it is a very sensuous rain song. I also like ‘Inteha ho gayi Intezaar ki’. There is a graph to the song and I love the way tempo picks up make it awesome."

RASHMI DESAI: "Rimjhim Gire Saawan. I like his other mischievous songs like 'Mein jhoom jhoomroo', 'Pag ghungaroo baje' and 'Ek chatur naar' as well. That's the most intimidating ability of Kishore Kumar. He could sing anything fabulously and on par. "
