Sandalwood actress Ramya, who was recently became a Member of Parliament from the Mandya constituency, has wasted no time in attending to her political duties.

Earlier today, Ramya took to her Twitter account to give her followers updates on the meetings she had been following up on. "Just met with MOS finance Namo Narainji & we will opening banks for Mandya constituency soon. Bhartiya mahila banks in November," she tweeted, after which she added, "Spoke to Mr.Aiyappa MD Mysugar factory Cane crushing will be done as soon as loan of 15 crores is given by the state govt.."

We had earlier reported that Ramya had met minister Prakash Hukkeri on Saturday and got his assurance that the pending Rs 6 crore owed to sugarcane farmers from Mysugar would be released to them. She also fixed an appointment with the DC of Mandya and the MD of Mysugar to re-start crushing in order to resolve sugarcane-crushing problem.
