Producer Farhan Salaruddin’s upcoming finite series titled ‘Swadheenta’ for Star Plus has been in the news for some time now!!

The big news of talented actor Gurmeet Choudhary returning to television with this show, had really created a lot of buzz. But as reported later, though Gurmeet was part of the pilot, there is no confirmation till now on the actor being signed for the project.

The news coming in now is that the show in all probability, will go on floor in the next 15 days.

Talented actor Aryan Pandit who came to fame in the role of Rajveer in Na Aana Is Des Laado has been roped in to play one of the two male leads. His role will have a huge importance in storytelling. Aryan who was last seen playing the lead in Sahara One’s Aakhir Bahu Bhi Toh Beti Hee Hai will play a flamboyant IPS officer, who would be a fun-loving guy.

Another big name roped in for the show happens to be Meghna Malik. After her powerful performances in Na Aana Is Des Laado and Gustakh Dil, the lady will return to the small screen donning the garb of an in-power lawyer. Her character will be the Ram Jethmalani of TV.

When contacted, Meghna Malik told us, “I don’t think there is anything to report as of now. Things are not yet clear, there are just talks that are happening.”

Swadheenta will have a huge family, with all the members in it being powerful and strong in their own ways. Meghna who will play the mother will be a big lawyer. Her second son (Gurmeet’s character in the pilot) will be a bureaucrat, while the youngest in the family (Aryan) will be an IPS officer.

As reported earlier, newbie Tridha Choudhry, who has done few Bengali movies has been cast as the female lead, and had shot the pilot with Gurmeet.
