According to sources the high remuneration actress Bhavana (three time Karnataka state award winning actress) demanded led to cancellation from the team of 'Neer Dosai' of producers BS Sudheendra and V Babu of BP Enterprises.

Bhavana had a pretty good and strong role and that had all the shades of becoming talk of the town after release. Bhavana was firm on her payment. On the health grounds Bhavana (Nandini) missed a well made film 'Edegarike' by Sumana Kittur. The film got rave reviews. Bhavana role in 'Edegarike' was given to Akanksha of 'Olave Mandhara' super hit film heroine.

For director Vijayaprasad it was compelling to look at Suman Ranganath who worked as 'Andal' a teacher in 'Sidlingu'. Suman Ranganath knowing the caliber of Vijayaprasad in 'Sidlingu' agreed to for the role set for Bhavana.
