
Actor Munmun Dutta, known for her stunning role in popular Telly serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, landed in trouble when she made a snide and casteist remark in a video clip. Now the actress has issued an apology after facing backlash from fans.
Munmun Dutta shared a video where she is seen interacting with her fans. Talking about her make-up, she says, "Lip tint ko halka sa blush ki tarah laga liya hai because main YouTube pe aane wali hoon aur main achha dikhn chahti hoon. Bh***i ki tarah nahi dikhna chahti hoon."
After being slammed for her casteist remark, Munmun Dutta trimmed her video and also issued an apology on social media. She wrote, "This is in reference to a video I posted yesterday where in one word used by me has been misinterpreted. It was never said with the intent of insult, intimidate, humiliate or hurt anyone's feelings. Because of my language barrier, I was genuinely misinformed about the meaning of the word. Once I was made aware of it meaning I immediately took the part down"
