Television actor kushal punjabi has taken up the rice bucket challenge where he can give away the rice to needy people, He wants his friends and other people also take up the challenge. 

Says he, "I actually meant it as a joke, to rhyme with the ice bucket challenge. Then it struck me that it could really help someone. I feel this challenge is far more useful in a country like ours than just pouring ice water on oneself. The objective is simple — Feed someone who is needy and hungry and nominate more people to do so. I was very happy when people responded to it."

He was recently evicted from  Sony's dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7.
