The shoot of Kaaka Muttai, jointly produced by Vetrimaaran and Dhanush, has been proceeding at a rapid pace in the city. The film has an interesting story to tell with only child artists in lead roles.

Director Manikandan says, "Kaaka Muttai will show the lifestyle of kids in the city's slums. The story gives an insight into the world of these children. Kids play the lead roles and there are no typical heroes or heroines enacting the main characters. We have been shooting in slums in the city for the film. All the schedules of the film will be completed in the city itself."

The film has a catchy title Kaaka Muttai. The film will be directed by Manikandan and music will be composed by GV Prakash.
