Indra Kumar, who is long vanished from industry, has recently made some headlines when he was accused of raping a 28-year-old model. The actor got a bail after a month of staying behind bars. The actor recently spoke at length about the recent episode in his life.
He discussed at length on women, respect for the fairer sex, however refused to comment when he was asked about his sexual involvement with the lady in question. The actor said, “The matter is sub-judice, I can’t. All I can say is the truth will come out when I fight my case.”
In an interview actor also said, “I have a daughter myself. I have the deepest respect for women. I may forgive a murderer but never a rapist. Rape according to me is the most deplorable and despicable crime ever. I will never ever raise my finger against a woman even if I am angry. I have done nothing wrong. So why should my shoulders droop or why should I look ashamed? I know I am innocent and hence walked with my head held high. Even if there was at least 5 percent truth in her allegations, I wouldn’t have been granted bail in the first hearing. And if I had walked into the court that day with my head hung low, people would have said look at him. He is ashamed. I am not because I am innocent. I have done no wrong.”
The actor even says that the rape accused tag has cost him several of his film projects.
