Secunderabad-born and bred model, Farhad Shahnawaz is all set to make a comeback in Tollywood after eight long years. The model-turned-actor who was last seen in the 2005 Telugu movie, Relax, will now be seen sharing screen space with Sai Dharam Tej and Saiyami Kher in YVS Choudary's Rey. Giving insights into his role, Farhad says, "I'm playing a pop star in this movie and my character is an important one as the entire plot revolves around me. The story line centres around dance and music and the movie has been shot in exotic locations including Las Vegas and Bangkok."

Farhad recently also made a special appearance in the telly show Sanskar — Dharogar Apnon Ki in a negative role. "TV and cinema have different styles of working. I'm not very fond of TV as it is very tedious, but I took up the show because I wanted to give the small screen a shot," says Farhad, admitting that negative characters interest him more than positive ones.
