For Sandalwood films, Rain plays spoilsport

News Helpline | January, 01 2012

While the state is rejoicing about monsoon and the accompanying cold weather, the same cannot be said for several under-production Kannada films. The shoots of these films, which were underway in the heritage city of Mysore, had to be postponed or even cancelled due to the torrential downpour. It all started with Upendra's Brahma. The team, led by director R Chandru, was shooting near the Mysore palace, but a source tells us that they couldn't complete the schedule and returned to Bangalore owing to the rain. The source adds that the team shot for the remaining part of the schedule at a studio in Bangalore.

Shortly thereafter, the team of the Ajai Rao and Shravya-starrer Rosee was in Mysore. "Our schedule in Mysore was for 20 days, but we had to pack up in 10 days because of the heavy downpour. The crew had created a special set for a sequence in the film, but unfortunately, it got completely damaged because of the rain

Currently, the teams of Smt Jayalalitha starring Sharan, and Abhimanyu, starring Arjun Sarja, are headed to Mysore, we wonder how would they manage.
